England ran in eight tries as they racked up a record score in a convincing World Cup warm-up win over Ireland at Twickenham.
Joe Cokanasiga (2), Elliot Daly, Manu Tuilagi, Maro Itoje, George Kruis, Tom Curry and Luke Cowan-Dickie all crossed the whitewash for Eddie Jones’ side.
The Red Rose were very impressive, repeating the heroics of their Guinness Six Nations victory over the same opponents earlier this year and then surpassing them.
In reply, Jordan Larmour and Bundee Aki went over for Ireland’s only tries of the game with Ross Byrne adding a conversion and penalty.
Injuries to Conor Murray and Cian Healy for Ireland and Mako Vunipola for England will give cause for concern but this was an impressive tune-up for England before Japan.
Captain Owen Farrell got the England scoring underway with a penalty, but it was Ireland who got the first try of the game.
Iain Henderson managed to strip the ball from Kruis and then Jacob Stockdale chipped the ball ahead and it bounced into the path of Larmour ahead of a number of England defenders and he was able to cross.

But the lead did not last long as Cokanasiga went over for his first of the game after a brilliant decoy run from Tuilagi.
Just before the half hour mark, England extended their lead with Daly crossing for the Red Rose’s second try of the afternoon after quick hands from George Ford and Tom Curry.
Man of the match Tuilagi then got in on the act with his try after he dived through a gap in the Irish defence to score after good work from Billy Vunipola at the base of the scrum.
England stamped their authority on the game with Itoje scoring shortly after the re-start – touching down underneath the posts after fending off Tadhg Furlong.
Vunipola then did well to flick the ball from the touchline before Kruis burrowed over for another England try.
Curry then got in on the try-scoring act – Kyle Sinckler offloaded to Sam Underhill who found his back row partner who did the rest.
Cokanasiga brought up England’s 50 as he found a hole in the Irish defence after a delayed pop pass from Farrell.
Aki then pulled one back for Ireland with an excellent solo try but Cowan-Dickie added another to England’s tally after capitalising on a mistake in the Irish line-out to give them a record points tally against Ireland.
