Make several changes to the side that lost 59â€16 in the final test of the 2010 Autumn Series, for the opening game of their RBS Six Nations defence against Scotland.
Damien Traille moves from fly half to full back, where he replaces Jerome Porical, and may remember his unhappy memory of that position from the RWC2007 semi final against England.
In the centre, Yannick Jauzion loses his place to Maxime Mermoz, whilst on the left wing, Maxime Medard comes in for Alexis Palisson
At fly half Francois Trinhâ€Duc, who was injured last autumn, returns to partner Morgan Parra, and in the back row Imanol Harinordoquy and Julien Bonnaire return for Sebastien Chabal (bench) and Fulgence Ouedraogo whilst Lionel Nallet returns as lock.
SCOTLAND
Scotland have made four changes from the side that started their last match, the victory against Samoa at Aberdeen in the Autumn series.
In the backs Nick de Luca returns at centre for the injured Graeme Morrison, and Max Evans takes over from Sean Lamont on the wing
The other changes see captain Alastair Kellock at lock with Nathan Hines moving to the flank, with Kelly Brown switching to No 8 Scotland have won five of their last six internationals
