In a year’s time the Guinness Six Nations 2020 will be underway, with passionate supporters all over Europe already making plans to take in Rugby’s Greatest Championship.
So many great host cities to visit and so much top-class rugby to look forward to, here we’re taking a look at how Scotland’s 2020 Guinness Six Nations fixtures are lined up.
ROUND ONE – Ireland v Scotland
Scotland begin their Guinness Six Nations 2020 campaign away to Ireland at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, a challenging venue to visit in the Championship.
Gregor Townsend’s men last visited Aviva Stadium in Round Four in 2018, going down to a 28-8 defeat as Ireland went on to win the Grand Slam.
The entertaining game saw Jacob Stockdale grab a double and tries for Conor Murray and Sean Cronin – a young Blair Kinghorn on the scoresheet for Scotland.

ROUND TWO – Scotland v England
Scotland’s Championship progresses to BT Murrayfield in Round Two and the chance to retain the Calcutta Cup for a third year.
The historic trophy stayed with them after that scintillating 38-38 draw at Twickenham in 2019, with clashes between the Auld Enemies always entertaining.
This fixture in 2018 saw Scotland win 25-13 with a superb performance – their first victory over England in a decade – perhaps highlighted by that Finn Russell pass for Sean Maitland’s try in the corner.

ROUND THREE – Italy v Scotland
The Azzurri play host to Scotland in Round Three, with a Saturday lunchtime clash at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
Supporters will hope to see a repeat of the enthralling 2018 fixture between the two, when Scotland pipped Italy in a sizzling 29-27 victory in Round Five – Fraser Brown, John Barclay, Maitland and Stuart Hogg the scorers that day.

ROUND FOUR – Scotland v France
In Round Four, Scotland welcome France to BT Murrayfield in a battle of the blues, with Gregor Townsend’s side looking to exact retribution for the 27-10 defeat this year.
If they’re looking for inspiration then they need look no further than to this fixture last year, when scrum-half Greig Laidlaw produced a flawless, eight-from-eight display from the kicking tee as Scotland came from behind to down France 32-26, Maitland and Huw Jones touching down to outdo Teddy Thomas’ double.

ROUND FIVE – Wales v Scotland
Scotland’s Guinness Six Nations 2020 concludes with a trip to one of the best rugby theatres in the world, Wales’ Principality Stadium.
They’ll be taking on the defending Grand Slam champions next March and will look to improve on the last time this fixture was played in 2018, when Wales ambushed Scotland with a 34-7 victory on the opening weekend – Leigh Halfpenny dotting down an impressive double.
