Alun Wyn Jones has been crowned the 2019 Guinness Six Nations Player of the Championship.

The Wales skipper was the heartbeat of an historic Grand Slam effort from the side. 

They downed France and Italy on the road to kick off the campaign before returning home to beat England in Round Three

On receiving the award, Jones said: “I’m very flattered, for me as a captain it’s validation of the work we have done as a squad throughout the campaign. 

“The nomination would have been more than enough, but I am very grateful that people have taken time to vote.”
