The IRFU (Irish Rugby Football Union) announces that Andy Farrell has signed a new long-term contract to remain as head coach of the Men’s national team until the end of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
IRFU Performance Director David Nucifora was excited about what Andy Farrell can achieve with the Ireland team in the coming years, following this announcement.
“It’s a great news for Irish rugby” he said.
Since assuming the head coach role in 2019, Farrell has guided Ireland to number one in the world rugby rankings. Earlier this year he
led the irish side to their fourth Grand Slam. And after the rugby world cup he was honoured as the World Rugby Men’s Coach of the Year.
