“Wallabies came of age” said tonight the Kiwi coach of Australia, Robbie Deans, just after the Springboks defeat. That’s it, indeed: after the third quarter final, Australia amazingly young Squad is consistently back into the very short-list of the teams supposed to win this RWC.
Once more, Wallabies demonstrated tonight that a young and well coached rugby team can still do the job, going through the final phase of a Rugby World Cup, though.
On their way to the Grand Final, next Sunday at Eden park, Australia will meet the All Blacks, that tonight have found in Piri Weepu and, probably, another youngster who is expected to come of age early as well, Aaron Cruden, their best skippers.
All New Zealand will be playing together with them, against the “Big Cousin”. And people going to Eden Park that night will certainly be awarded with plenty of spectacle and lots of emotions.
Unfortunately, only one of those two sides will have their place granted into the Grand final stage, but that’s it. We are sure that in the other half of the pitch, one out of Wales and France Teams, they will be finding another, consistent interpreter of today fresh and expansive rugby.
And we are already looking forward to seeing which one, between the Northern and the Southern Emisphere ones, will be claiming their as the best 2011 World Rugby.
