I don’t know if Steve Jobs was a fun of rugby. But I’m quite sure that if he was here today he would certainly appreciated very much, as, actually, we did, both the welsh and the french performances.
“Stay hungry, stay foolish! …” It’s all about this what we learnt today from the first two quarter finals of this amazing 2011 World Cup.
Warren Gatland and his side on one hand, the french side (not their Coach, though) on the other, were in fact able to demonstrate that it is not only a defensive matter. And it is not only about very experienced sides. For going through the knock-out phase also a bit more expansive rugby, a good strategy, and ypung, fresh and very motivated players can brilliatly work-out.
And when Martin Johnson says that he believes “this team’s best days are ahead of it.” he shows to be fully conscious of his errors, as he got a good side for doing that sort of job, playing with the same freshness and mind-set than Wales, and also less aged than the one he finally lined-up … but he was not probably brave enough to deal with.
