France bounced back from an opening day defeat, and half-time deficit, to take victory 20-16 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in the Guinness Men’s Six Nations round two.
Gregor Townsend’s squad rumbled and rolled in search of a match-winning score until the end. Eventually, they thought they got it when Sam Skinner went over as there was one very final chance, but an initial decision from Berry to not award the try led to inconclusive evidence to overturn his decision. It mattered much to the consternation of the crowd, not to France, who retain the Auld Alliance Trophy.
