Senior men’s head coach Warren Gatland has named his Wales XV to play Argentina at Stade de Marseille in the first quarter-final of Rugby World Cup 2023 (Saturday 14 October KO 4pm BST / 5pm local time live on ITV and S4C), following the 43-19 win against Georgia last weekend.

After taking 19 points out of a possible 20 from pool wins over Fiji, Portugal, Australia and Georgia, Warren Gatland says Wales are “definitely not ready to go home” on Monday as they get ready for facing Argentina for their fourth successive World Cup quarter final.

Besides, George North has already become only the fifth Welshman to appear at four World Cups and a win over Argentina in tomorrow’s quarter-final would put him in line to match another Welsh tournament record. Saturday’s fixture against the Pumas in Marseille will be North’s 20th World Cup outing, leaving him just one short of Alun Whyn Jones.
