Dragons have confirmed Welsh internationals Cory Hill and Tyler Morgan are among 10 players who will be leaving the region at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Also on his way out at Rodney Parade is forwards coach Ceri Jones, who stepped up to act as Head Coach after Bernard Jackman left the region prior to the appointment of Dean Ryan as rugby director.

The 24-year-old Morgan, who has been linked with a possible switch to the Scarlets, will be leaving his home region after seven seasons that saw him progress through the region’s age grade teams and academy to make 89 senior appearances and win five Welsh caps in 2015.

Hill is heading to the Blues next season, while another senior pro leaving is combative flanker Nic Cudd. The 31-year-old openside specialist, a team mate of Sam Warburton and Justin Tipuric at U19 and U20 levels, made 130 appearances for the Dragons.

Hooker Rhys Lawrence, back row man James Sheekey and outside half Jacob Botica are also on the leaving list, along with Academy members Dafydd Buckland, Will Griffiths, Tom Hoppe and James McCarthy.

“We thank all the players for their hard work and professionalism during their time at the region. All the players leave with our very best wishes for their future ambitions in rugby or away from the game,” said Dean Ryan, Director of Dragons Rugby.

“Everyone at Dragons is also grateful to Ceri for his efforts during his time at the region and we all wish him the best in the next chapter of his coaching career.”
