Video: Chat turnover seals memorable France win

For all of France’s attacking flair, it was their defensive effort that once again shone brightest in their 27-23 victory over defending Guinness Six Nations champions Wales.

That resilient rearguard action was typified in the final minute by Camille Chat, who came up with a brilliant turnover to wrestle the ball back as Wales searched for a late try.

With the clock ticking away, and Principality Stadium roaring the hosts on, Wales launched a break through Ross Moriarty before the ball was recycled back to Nick Tompkins.

Slipping a tackle from Gregory Alldritt, Tompkins spotted a rare gap in the France line and stormed through, beating three players before eventually being brought down before the 22.

And without hesitation, Chat capitalised on the fallen Wales centre by getting himself in position and covering the ball, forcing Tompkins to be penalised for holding on.

With that the ball was kicked into touch and the visitors celebrated their first win in Cardiff since 2010 as Les Bleus defence coach Shaun Edwards came back to haunt Wales.
