England overpowered Ireland with a superb first-half display, carrying them to a 24-12 victory at Twickenham.
George Ford and Elliot Daly crossed for first-half tries, while their defence suffocated Ireland and helped them to a 17-0 lead at half-time.
Robbie Henshaw dived over for Ireland to reduce the gap after the break but replacement Luke Cowan-Dickie powered across the line to put England out of sight.
Andrew Porter’s first international try gave Ireland something to smile about at the end but it was England who emerged with the points.
