Extended Highlights: Ireland v Wales

Ireland eased to a bonus-point victory over Wales as they extended their 100 per cent Guinness Six Nations record to two games in Dublin on Saturday.

The hosts were clinical as they ran in four tries and controlled matters in the 24-14 success at the Aviva Stadium to keep hopes of a Grand Slam triumph well on track.

Wales, meanwhile, were left to rue a defeat which leaves them level on points with England after Eddie Jones’ men claimed a victory over Scotland at Murrayfield.

Despite having 66 per cent of the territory in the opening 40 minutes, Ireland were made to work hard for their lead in the first half and went in with a 12-7 advantage to their name at the interval.

Tries from Jordan Larmour, Tadhg Furlong, Josh van der Flier and Andrew Conway ultimately proved to be the difference for Ireland.

Wales, meanwhile, saw Tomos Williams and Justin Tipuric touch down in the losing effort.

Wayne Pivac’s side will hope to bounce back from the defeat in a fortnights time when they take on France, while Ireland travel to Twickenham to face England in their next game.
