Best of social: Warburton’s a football star as France clean up

A Wales legend showed off his football skills, a France player did a spot of cleaning and England’s back-row received a heap of praise.

It was another busy weekend on social media as the Guinness Six Nations got people talking once again.

Last week, retired Wales flanker Sam Warburton joked that people may have mistaken him for wing George North after his surprise appearance as a waterboy at Principality Stadium.

And the 31-year-old who is a technical advisor for Wales was at it again – this time marvelling at his first touch at the Aviva Stadium.

A video of the Wales warm-up showed Dan Biggar split the posts with unerring accuracy in training ahead of their clash with Ireland before Warburton, standing just behind the in-goal area, flicked the ball up with his right foot before catching it with one hand.

He then gave a fist pump after realising that his neat piece of skill had been caught on camera.

“Did you get that on camera? Did you get that?,” Warburton said.

“Did you actually get that? I am so happy, oh my God!”

France swept aside Italy in a 35-22 victory over Italy in Paris with lock Paul Willemse putting in another tireless shift on the pitch.

But that did not stop lock Paul Willemse from tidying up the dressing room after the game as France posted a picture of him with a sweeping brush.

Italy may have suffered a second straight defeat, but former Scotland scrum-half Andy Nicol is wary of the Azzurri ahead of his nation’s visit to Rome in Round 3.

A late Ellis Genge try saw England edge past Scotland 13-6 at a sodden BT Murrayfield and it was the work of back-rowers Sam Underhill and Tom Curry that impressed two further internationals.

Ireland made it two wins from two with a 24-14 triumph against Wales at the Aviva Stadium and Six Nations great Brian O’Driscoll is already looking forward to facing England in a fortnight’s time.
